Samantha Dalby has worked as a Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner since 2006. She currently provides care in a team setting to over 16,000 patients in Trent Hills, Ontario, Canada.  She has published her online magazine blog, Getting Healthy with NP Sam, since 2013 which has been viewed over 29,000 times by readers worldwide. Samantha has a clinical interest in preventing and treating disease with nutrition & lifestyle strategies and she is a member of Canadian Clinicians for Therapeutic Nutrition. Education & Training

Samantha holds degrees & certificates from Queen's University (PHCNP Certificate), British Columbia Institute of Technology (Critical Care Certificate), the University of British Columbia (B.Sc.Nursing), & York University (B.A.Hons PoliSci/History). She is a certified Precision Nutrition Level I Nutrition Coach (2014). 


Samantha is currently pursuing her Master of Nursing degree at Athabasca University. Her research focus is assessment and treatment of obesity in the primary care setting.

Nurse Practitioners are health care professionals educated & trained to provide health promotion, disease prevention, & illness management.  NPs are authorized to order diagnostic tests, provide diagnoses and prescribe treatments & medications.
